Terms & Conditions

Payments or bookings made by the Client is in acceptance of the following terms.

1. Prices & Availability

All rates quoted are per room, per night, subject to availability and inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.

Limited numbers of suitable rooms may be allocated to individual rates, packages or promotions. Once these allocations are taken up, remaining available rooms may be offered at a higher price.

2. Payment

At time of booking you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a Credit or Debit card. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

Settlement of your bill in full, less any advance payments must be made on arrival at the Hotel. On departure from the hotel, any additional costs must be settled.

3. Bookings

Bookings must be guaranteed for the accommodation by a major credit or debit card. The card given may be authorised for a part of or full amount for the booking. If the card given on booking is declined, the hotel reserves the right to immediately terminate the reservation (the client will be notified). We do not accept cheques or cash as a guarantee and a card will still be required to guarantee your booking even if the final bill is to be settled in cash. Cheques will not be accepted for payment/part payment.

4. Check In and Check Out

Check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and Check out is by 11am on the day of departure. There may be occasions, at times of high demand, when our Clients can check in and use all of the hotel facilities but the bedroom is still being prepared. Early check in may incur an extra charge.

5. Late Check In

In you plan to arrive after 8pm please advise the Hotel by calling 01483 232 051. Failure to notify the Hotel of late arrival may result in your room being resold and our cancellation policy being applied.

6. Smoking/Damages

In line with the change in UK legislation, Asperion Group Ltd. operate 100% Smoke Free Hotels including all guest bedrooms, public areas and corridors.

Designated smoking areas have been allocated within the hotel grounds - please enquire upon check in.

For resident guests who do not comply with our No Smoking policy, a charge will be added to their bill to include the cost of cleaning all soft furnishing to remove the odours. Such charges will be a minimum of £100.00 to a maximum of £500.00 taken from the guest’s credit/debit card.

We appreciate your co-operation with this No Smoking Policy.

Should damages be incurred by a guest who does not notify the hotel upon departure, the card given to guarantee the booking/bookings will be charged for the full amount of damages/cleaning incurred plus any lost revenue due to a room being unlettable.

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and amendments for direct bookings should be made with the Reservations Office by calling 01483 232 051. Any third-party bookings should be cancelled or amended directly with the original booking source.

Reservations cancelled at least 48 hours prior to arrival will be cancelled without charge. In the event of a cancellation within this period, the first night’s accommodation charge is non-refundable and will be charged to the Credit/Debit Card given as guarantee.

In the event of non-cancellation/non-arrival 100% of the total booking will be charged.

Where applicable the hotel reserves the right to charge the amount payable for such cancellations against the Client's credit card without prior notice or approval of the Client. Normal terms of payment apply to these charges

7.1. Cancellation by Asperion Hillside Hotel

Very occasionally we may have no option but to cancel your booking. We will inform you at the earliest point and offer you alternative accommodation of the same standard, or higher, or a full refund.

We regret that we are unable to offer any compensation or reimbursement of any expenses or costs that may have been incurred as a result of the cancellation.

7.2. Cancellation – Group Bookings

Please refer to the separate Cancellation Policy in regards to group bookings.

8. Single Bedrooms

Single bedrooms are only suitable for one person only.

9. Accessible Guest Rooms

The hotel offers modified facilities for use of guests with disabilities. As needs do vary, guests are requested to check with the reservations office on 01483 232 051 prior to booking.

10. Car Parking

The hotel has its own car park which is complimentary for residents during your stay. There are a limited number of bays available and parking is on a first come, first served basis. Parking bays cannot under any circumstances be reserved for any client. Users of this car park do so at their own risk, the Hotel accepts no liability for any accident, damage or loss incurred when using the facility.

11. Children

Children aged 17 years and under must be accompanied, at all times, by a responsible adult to ensure that the children's behaviour is appropriate for other guests within the Hotel.

At the discretion of the Hotel, children may be excluded from certain events or promotions where deemed unsuitable or inappropriate.

12. Force Majeure

Asperion Group Ltd cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of the contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to “force majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
